Simple Stories papers are a favorite go-to paper for me.  Each of their paper lines have "elements" papers, such as journaling cards and borders.  They are so easy to cut apart and use on layouts.  When I want a quick page to put my photos on, I often reach for one of the Simple Stories paper lines.   DIY Boutique is another of Simple Stories great lines.  It is so bright and cheerful!  The day it arrived at Scrap & Bean I just knew I needed to play with this paper line.  Here is a quick one page layout using DIY.

Simply use two sheets of DIY No Worries paper.

One sheet is for your layout, the 2nd sheet is used to create pop-up's to embellish your page.  To cut out the shapes in perfect circles, I used the Spellbinders circle die in my Big Shot Die cutting machine.

Here is a photo showing the 3D effect of popping up the 2nd layer of some of the circles.

With a black journaling pen I added some doodling onto, and around the edges of some of the circles as well.  Not that the project needed it, but more just to have fun with it.

Next I used a sheet of DIY Boutique Stripes/Green paper and cut out two photo mats.  One photo mat using the striped side up, and the 2nd photo mat using the green side up.  Good use from one sheet of paper!

Purposely placing your photo mats on the wonky, relieves any stress from trying to get them perfectly straight. 🙂

Journaling around the photo mats was a way of adding to the doodle effect...or so I thought lol.

To finish off this quick project, I simple added the Mexico title, and matted the whole page onto yellow and then red cardstock to match the colouring of the title.

Done!  Just that fast!
